False hope for HIV patients

This is really fucked up. And in Africa of all places where HIV/AIDS is rife, we get this fuckwit promising a cure. Is it some new drug in a long line that has evolved into a real cure after 20-30 years? No, it's fuckin herbal medicine FFS! What a load of shit. Does he honestly think that the battle against HIV can be won with some fuckin herbs?

President Yahya Jammeh said in 2007 he had found a remedy of boiled herbs to cure AIDS, stirring anger among Western medical experts who claimed he was giving false hope to the sick. 

"With this project coming to fruition, we intend to treat 10,000 HIV/AIDS patients every six months through natural medicine," Jammeh said in his New Year's address, adding that he expected the 1,111-bed hospital to open in 2015. 

The World Health Organisation and the United Nations have said Jammeh's HIV/AIDS treatment is alarming mainly because patients are required to cease their anti-retroviral drugs, making them more prone to infection. more

The worse thing about it is that people will be given false hope from it. What are they gonna do when they start dying? It's astonishing the misinformation, distortion, stupidity. Wow, 30 years of the world fighting against the HIV epidemic, actually refining drugs to be more and more effective and tolerated, and what do you know? All we had to do was boil up a few herbs?
