Gay footballers

In light of the gay NFL player in the US, Jason Collins, being the first layer to come out as gay, it bought to mind a brave gay footballer here not so long ago who came out, Jason Ball.

Of course this would be rather a new thing in the AFL here, and I'm sure since Jason Ball coming out that there'd be a bit of a learning curve amongst some of the AFL players. Looks to me like the same thing is happening in the case of Jason Collins in the NFL. This a short interview with Asante Samuel, and oh my it is extremely awkward. Perhaps he may wish he'd not talked about it before opening his mouth?

The worst bit was the implication that gay people can have nothing to do with God, as he teaches his kids "God".
