Anti-Gay Law Enforced at Olympics - Russia confirms

Just in case there's any doubt, Russia has officially confirmed through it's Interior Ministry that the "propaganda" laws will  be enforced in Sochi.
Russia's Interior Ministry, which controls the police force, confirmed Monday that the country's controversial anti-gay law will be enforced during the Sochi 2014 Olympics.

................
"The law enforcement agencies can have no qualms with people who harbor a nontraditional sexual orientation and do not commit such acts [to promote homosexuality to minors], do not conduct any kind of provocation and take part in the Olympics peacefully," said an Interior Ministry statement issued on Monday. more
So just everyone all be good and well behaved. Don't show any outward signs of who you are, just compete peacefully. Is this some new kind of closet? Under those rules Matthew Mitcham would have been arrested after winning gold in the diving, as he's with his partner hugging and all:

Fuck knows what the IOC will do now. Surely they can't agree to have the games under such oppressive laws against human rights? Their position that "everything's gonna be OK as the laws will be suspended for two weeks" is now untenable.
