Diggers Dudded by Slime minister Abbott - defence force revolt

Abbott has now chucked a great big bucket of austerity all over our defence forces. Just days after he sent 600 of them off to his stupid war, he announced all sorts of horrible things for the ones left back here at home. Things that would be laughed at in any Enterprise Bargaining Agreement in Australia today. Like 1.5% pay increase a year for three years, WTF? That's a pay cut after inflation. Other things about their leave entitlements. They are not fuckin happy at all. 

I don't blame them. Expected to die for their country and cop SSJoe's austerity whilst he sits in Canberra with his cigars.

Social media has lit up with outrage from the families of Diggers following the approval of the Australian Defence Force's controversial pay deal.

The Defence Force Welfare Association's Facebook page has been carpet bombed with negative comments about the 1.5 per cent pay rise across three years plus the loss of leave days for 57,000 members of the ADF with comparisons being drawn with the massive leap in politicians entitlements and Tony Abbott referred to as the "Slime Minister".

"I saw my husband for 55 days in total last year and this is what we get," wrote one woman who called the deal pathetic. Read more
