Scott Morrison persecuted? - Angry Aussie :)

Angry calls out the so called persecution for what it is. That bigotry is when people say horrible things about you for who your are, but when people call you out on your bullshit that isn't bigotry but just calling you to account.

Anti Safe Schools election brochure put out by Lieberals - homophobe alert!

They just won't give up will they. Ironically they assert there is "no safe place" for kids, when for LGBT it's exactly the opposite at times. This is absolutely disgusting. Likely we'll have this crap insulting our intelligence during a Lieberal plebiscite.

I can't believe that they can't see how much on the wrong side of public opinion they are.

Medicare vs refugees - Turnbull plays the race card

I guess this means it's official. As Howard taught them with the Tampa, when fighting for your political life play the race card. After all, I'd have to say as a New Zealander that Australians are comparatively racist. The White Australia policy Keating said we were lucky not to get sanctions like South Africa did.

Howard knew that racism still existed in Australia when he stopped the Tampa. He played the race card and won the election.

Now Turnbull is trying to do the same. Take advantage of fears of refugees and it's only the Lieberals that can protect you.

This is why I can't vote for Labor. They've lowered themselves to compete with the Lieberals over refugees for politics, running to the lowest moral level.

Silence = Death - don't let the christians take you down

Jeremiah Johnson was a speaker at a protest against Trump on New York. You can read more about that protest here.

I looked at the post at Joe My God and was quite interested in said protest, however I clicked on the below YouTube thing of it and came across this most beautiful call to arms so to speak of this Johnson bloke.

He made it so clear there is nothing wrong with being gay. There is nothing wrong with being HIV+. We're all human beings just like everyone else.

Don't let the christians take you down darlings.

"Make America white again" - US politician candidate

With the Republican line up of conservatives against difference, railing most hardheartedly about the LGBT, I guess it was inevitable that some nutter candidate would think it was OK to put up the above bilboard.

After all, hate breeds hate. Once the hate starts where does it end? The demonisation if difference, of sexuality, of foreigners, of refugees, inevitably it's going to come home and demonise people of colour in their own land. People of difference.

To the notion that white heterosexual christians are superior to all others. There's a name for that you know....... We fought against it in WW2.

This is where the US is currently heading? To a place where and independent candidate thinks it's just fine to put up a billboard as this? It appears they're already there.

The price of complacency... A population numbed by technology and entertainment, believing themselves free and OK, whilst the creeping fascism slowly weaves it's way into their society.

This is where hate and intolerance leads:
An independent candidate running for Tennessee's 3rd Congressional District seat is under fire for a campaign billboard he posted with the slogan "Make America White Again," local TV station WRCB reported Wednesday.

Rick Tyler confirmed to the station that he put up the billboard, which also lists the address for his campaign website.

Tyler told WRCB that he does not hate people of color, but does believe America "should go back to the 1960s."

"(The) Leave it to Beaver time when there were no break-ins; no violent crime; no mass immigration," he told the news station. TPM
Well at least he's moved on from the 1950's.

Same old line as with the LGBT - I don't hate you I just believe that......

Copper is shit and the Lieberals lied about the NBN - ex-NBN chief (video)

The captain of the NBN before the Lieberals were elected is a Mike Quigley. He resigned from said captaincy just before the 2013 election and the Abbott reign of TERROR!© He is now entering the fray so to speak, and speaking what we've all figured out long ago; that the Lieberals were talking shit about their stupid fucked up plan for the NBN and it was short sighted bla..

It was all part of Abbott's wrecking ball of destruction. Everything that Labor did he opposed in opposition, taking a populist approach to the carbon tax and building on that. The Abbott gov got to power actually, seriously, describing the internet as nothing more than a "video entertainment system". I kid you not. Much to much of Australia's aghast-ment! Watch as Abbott and Turnbull justify copper!

Yet Murdoch still got these fuckwits into power. OMFG. Idiots.
Mr Quigley, a former executive at telecommunications giant Alcatel-Lucent, resigned from the NBN just before the Coalition's election in 2013 and has kept a low profile since.

In the speech, Mr Quigley rubbished the copper-based fibre-to-the-node technology, a centrepiece of the Coalition's rollout, and said fibre-to-the-premises (FTTP) "is the only safe long-term bet for Australia's fixed broadband network".

"To spend billions of dollars to build a major piece of national infrastructure that just about meets demand today, but doesn't allow for any significant growth in that demand over the next 10 or 20 years, without large upgrade costs, is incredibly short-sighted," he said.

"It is such a pity that so much time and effort has been spent on trying to discredit and destroy the original FTTP-based NBN.

"And equally a pity that the Coalition has put their faith in what has turned out to be a short-sighted, expensive and backward-looking MTM [mixed technology model] based on copper.

"The nation is going to be bearing the consequences of those decisions for years to come in higher costs and poorer performance in an area that is critical to its long-term future.

"Betting tens of billions of taxpayers dollars at this time on copper access technologies, as the Coalition has done, is a huge miscalculation."

Mr Quigley said telcos around the world, including companies that have previously been strong proponents of fibre-to-the-node (FTTN), are moving away from the technology.

"Just when the FTTN equipment will need to be upgraded is an unknown but given what is happening overseas, it is unlikely to be very long," he said.

As for Labor's election pledge to stop rolling out FTTN and instead deploy full fibre to 40 per cent of premises, Mr Quigley said it was a pragmatic change that would not produce big blowouts in cost or timing.

"It will result, however, in a network that is a step closer to the desired end-state," he said.

"While it is impossible to turn back the clock on the [multi-technology mix] it is still possible to make changes to the current direction, without introducing another major disruption - changes that will get us closer to building the right network for the long term." Brisbane Times

US radical christianity in full flight after Pulse shootings

Some of the preachers have even shocked me, which is pretty hard to do darlings. The one recently praying for the death of those struggling for life in the ICU was very confronting. Honestly, what is going through the heads of these people? The pastor involved announce that "the bible says" we're all paedophiles. Again, where is someone's head at to see paedophiles where they don't exist?

As I've posted about here on this blog, it has been not just the odd one or two exceptions, but a conga line of christian hate. Sadly, I'd guess that these are just the most vocal ones, and there's many many more in their churches and fellow ministers who think exactly the same thing but haven't the gall to preach it to the world on YouTube.

There has been shock. People in the general community are aghast at such hatred at us after such hurt. Some I guess have never heard christians carrying on like this about a minority; demanding their death and celebrating it when it happens. The simple fact is that these radical christians have been around for a long time and have been saying this for a long time. It's just that now the media has taken note of it after Orlando amidst the new mood of gay acceptance.

Some have refused to post it saying it's giving another platform for their hate, but personally I disagree. My view is that the hate needs to have attention drawn to it and called out for the radicalism it is. People in the wider community need to know just where bigotry, intolerance, the closet, and religion can take us; to the extremes of hate and to the point of murder in the name of religion.

Any religion.
Hardly a day has gone by without a new headline about a pastor, preacher or church somewhere around the nation condoning the anti-queer brutality that sent a shockwave through the LGBT community earlier this month.

In the face of this troubling strain of Christian extremism, the political conversation has instead shifted almost entirely to "radical Islam." The gunman was a Muslim, though reportedly not a very devout one. And while there are still plenty of questions about whether he was actually influenced by religion at all, the battle lines have already been drawn.

Presumptive GOP nominee Donald Trump and other Republicans have hammered President Barack Obama for choosing not to use the term "radical Islam," suggesting that his rhetoric reflects an unwillingness to get serious about a national security threat. They've also used the shooting to further blur the line between the tiny fraction of radical Muslims and the rest of the world's 1.6 billion followers of Islam. They say the Quran teaches that homosexuality is punishable by death, which means Muslims must be anti-gay. Yet again, the actions of a single person are being used to cast a pall over an entire community.

Christians are rarely asked to answer these questions, because nobody is rushing to confront or condemn radical Christianity. But what does the Bible say about the LGBT community, and do we assume most Christians take it literally? Does Christianity promote violent homophobia? Should we interpret one preacher's despicable anti-queer comments as the gospel of an entire religion? These have not traditionally been topics of political debate. Though to their credit, some Christian leaders have asked such questions of themselves over the past week. Huffington Post

Huge swings to Labor in NSW marginal seats - including bellwether Eden-Monaro

Of the 6 marginals polled by ReachTell only one is presently held by Labor, however all 6 polled now appear to be in Labor's camp, taking 5 seats off the Lieberals. These are really big swings:

New South Wales Teachers Federation

Most notably is Eden-Monaro the famous Bellwether seat. In the last 17 federal elections Eden-Monaro has always gone to the gov that won office. It's presently held by the Lieberals on a margin of 2.9%:
Eden-Monaro (Liberal 2.9%): In a poll of 636 respondents in the famous bellwether electorate in the state’s south-eastern corner, Labor’s Mike Kelly has a commanding lead of 55-45, or 54.0-46.0 on previous election preferences. Primary votes are Liberal 40.4%, Labor 37.5%, Greens 14.8% and others 7.3%. A similar poll for the Australian Education Union on June 18 produced much the same result. Poll Bludger
Voting polling booth 2013 election
Reasons for the swing are being put down to a long grass roots campaign by the NSW Teachers Federation (who commissioned the poll) on the federal Gonski reforms that the Lieberals have refused to fund into the future as they said they would in the 2013 election. Not long after taking office whining Pyne arrogantly declared Gonski was a mess; this after years of careful research and consultation.
The results show a sharp shift in voter sentiment towards candidates and parties that are backing the continuation of Gonski schools funding.

"These seats in NSW have been the target of a long-term campaign by community groups, parents, principals and teachers in support of the continuation of the Gonski funding reforms,” said NSW Teachers Federation President Maurie Mulheron.

“And it’s clear from the polling that education is an election issue that parents are very concerned about and we are calling on them to vote for candidates who are committed to funding the full Gonski agreement,” Mr Mulheron said.

“We are disappointed that Prime Minister Malcolm Turnbull has turned his back on education by refusing to fund Gonski.”

Mr Mulheron said voters had a clear choice this election about which parties valued education.

“The education community has been running radio, television, print advertising and billboards in each of these marginal electorates. We have also been touring Gonski mobile billboards through these electorates to remind parents and voters what students will lose if Gonski funding is brought to a premature end.” NSW Teachers Federation
Lieberal chooks coming home to roost?

Hats off to the New South Wales Teachers Federation :)

"Never, ever? - The Liberal record on promises" - by the unions (video)

Here the Lieberals are standing on their record to say that Medicare won't be privatised. An assortment of some of the worst of the worst bull-shitting.

Trump does a Lieberal "Feedback" scheme - launders campaign funds (Rachel Maddow)

If you thought that the Lieberal software Feedback Parakeelia scheme was money laundering, you ain't seen nothing yet! Just have a go at this folks!

Trump's whole campaign has simply been about making money, not winning a presidency, via feeding himself money by being presidential.

Oh how very corporate US. Hilarious actually. The ultimate end result of corporate society; a presidential candidate who's whole agenda is simply to make money! Taking advantage of stupid US rednecks to make money. Stoking the fires of hate and violence to make money. He's laughing all the way to the banks.

Please think of our war veterans - our gov doesn't (video)

I do miss YouTube when it doesn't connect because of Turnbull. I have rather a back log now and just picking off bits and pieces from my subscriptions. And then I stumbled into this gem.

The forgotten of wars, in last decades stupid wars mostly of US making. Our "enemies" are often on the other side of the world far far away from our shores, beholden to the politics of the northern hemisphere. But Australians look after our mates, and even though the US is a crazy one it's still our mate.

Sadly, gov rhetoric doesn't flow through to real life for those who come back from those faraway wars.

I've an older mate from an old old work place years ago. He was the best man at my wife and I's wedding. He'd fought in Vietnam for 9 months years before. He rings me now and then, has had throat cancer and speaks strangely now. He thought he couldn't get a pension because Centrelink told him so. David told him he could as he'd worked as a nurse with many veterans. On instruction he followed through and some weeks later rang over the moon that Veteran's affairs gave him a full pension.

Why doesn't the gov tell these people what they're entitled to instead of leaving it up to some Centrelink idiot to preach bullshit to them?

Treasurer Morrison accuses LGBT of bigotry - claims persecution for anti gay views

In further confirmation that the Lieberals have engaged themselves in some kind of mass psychotic experiment, both Treasurer Scott Morrison and Cort Bernadi are claiming they're persecuted by bigotry over their extremist christian views. Being as the subject matter is about marriage equality, the inference is that the LGBT are being bigots in calling out their views as homophobic and bigoted.

Staggering. Mind boggling. Almost insane. Morrison is the one who spoke at the extremist Australian Christian Lobby conference in Sydney recently, along with representation from the christian extremist US based Alliance Defending Freedom which Abbott spoke at in New York.

The Australian Christian Lobby is well known as haters of the LGBT. Apparently christianity (according to them) involves an all out war against us, singling us out far and above all other issues. As depicted in this graph of media releases by them in recent times. Almost like they think about gay sex even more than we do. WTF they have against a secular gay marriage is anyone's guess, but we all know how the haters are often projectors of self loathing......

And now Morrison accuses us of bigotry? That he is persecuted? Oh please....... Talk about precious.

When was the last time the gov of the country he was in decided that everyone in that country should take a vote on whether he could marry or not? Has people in his community had their marriage annulled by the gov because of their sexuality, as happened in the ACT the other year? When was the last time anyone in his church was bashed for being straight, and the police didn't care because he was straight? What's the history in Sydney of being chucked off a cliff because you were straight and the police didn't investigate? When was the last time he saw US LGBT people demanding the death of straight christians and the death of those in ICU struggling for life?

It's the hate filled rhetoric of extremist christian conservatives such as him that make it so easy for the haters to latch on to and hate us. It's not even enough to say that christians have LGBT blood on their hands, as indeed some of them want it to be there.
Treasurer Scott Morrison says that people like him, who hold conservative Christian views on same-sex marriage, battle hatred and bigotry similar to that experienced by LGBTI Australians.

The morning after Labor frontbencher Penny Wong said straight politicians calling for a plebiscite on the issue don't understand homophobia and predicted the public vote would "license hate speech", Mr Morrison said he had personally experienced vitriol for advancing his views.

And the Treasurer is not the only conservative MP rallying for the traditional marriage cause, with firebrand senator Cory Bernardi using his blog to accuse Prime Minister Malcolm Turnbull of providing "implicit support" for attacks on him.

"Frankly people who have very strong religious views, they have also been subject to ... quite dreadful hate speech and bigotry as well," Mr Morrison told ABC radio on Wednesday morning.

"I understand the concerns Penny is raising, I know it from personal experience having been exposed to that sort of hatred and bigotry for the views I've taken from others who have a different view to me."
Mr Morrison, who opposes gay marriage and worships at an American-style Pentecostal church in Sydney, said he was "sensitive" to concerns among LGBTI Australians but expressed "a bigger view" about people's capacity for respectful debate. The Age

"Turnbull has fixed the NBN" - Pyne; WTF?

Meanwhile in the Lieberal world of psychosis, apparently the NBN is fixed everyone? Ha ha ha ha ........
