*Update: Malcolm Bligh hits a Reef: Turnbull's coal half billion handout may sink PM
Kristina Keneally is a recent addition to the Labor party in Canberra. She was for a while the premier of New South Wales and is completely competent in the political world.
Keneally has recently uncovered what some might suggest will be the final undoing of Trumbles. Turnbull has given nearly half a billion dollars of public money to some tin pot organisation called "The Great Barrier Reef Foundation", of which is made up of a small group of fossil fuel industry representatives. Who of course are pushing their agenda and even denying that climate change exists.
What's more it was a Turnbull captain's call. There were no public servants present in the meeting with The Great Barrier Reef Foundation, and the money wasn't being asked for by the Foundation. Most of the $443 million has now ended up in term deposit accounts to be used by the banks as they will. The Foundation itself only has a turnover of $8-10 million a year. It has only 6 employees.
This is of course being spun by the gov as a huge investment in the Great Barrier Reef that's in danger. From climate change. Of which the Foundation is made up of fossil fuel representatives and climate change deniers.
This stinks, like rotting fish.
I loath Alan Jones; he's a right wing radio shock jock in the closet. But this interview with Keneally was very informative. Keneally is going for blood over this and we haven't heard the end of Reefgate yet. It's got corruption written all over it.
The video bellow that is a short report from The Feed, shedding more light on the scandal.
And here we are having to move heaven and hell to get a cent out of Centrelink......
Now that the former Australian CEO of the company that sank the Exxon_Valdez off Alaska - https://t.co/r6qbZm8JRe - is in charge of saving the Great Barrier Reef, I feel so much better it's exhilarating!— Dave Donovan (@davrosz) August 4, 2018
Well done, Malcolm, you truly suck.https://t.co/eFL1Gc2LxW
