Has been 3months since the "Religious Freedom Review" released - where is it?

Ruddock's religious freedom review was released nearly a quarter of a year ago now, with the gov promising to take a look at it and do bla I guess in relation to the likes of Tony Abbott and his band of fuckwits.

It was released to the gov on May 18th. To no hoopla. With little comment from the gov. Apparently the gov has to "frame" it's response.

WTF? This was a religious review aimed squarely at LGBT people like David and I after we won the right to marry in Australia. It was of the essence that the religious freedom of those who opposed David and I marrying was being threatened by our marrying.

The fact that now the gov is sitting on this report's outcomes, the chair of which instigated the Howard gov outlawing LGBT marriage in Australia in  2004 (changing the marriage act without a postal survey) being Ruddock, is deeply worrying.

Add to that that the federal election is looming, which I think has to be called by May next year at the latest. The gov has lost well over 30 Newspolls in a row to Labor, and the "Super Saturday" by elections only entrenched that failure. Well on track to lose gov, are they keeping the Ruddock religious freedom recommendations under wraps?

We won the public vote for marriage equality hands down, despite the fact that we never wanted it to be put to a vote. Does the Ruddock review encroach on LGBT freedoms in Australia in response to our win? Against the will of the over 60% of Australians who supported us? Do they think releasing the review would be against the wishes of those 60% of Australians who said Yes to David and I being able to marry?

Are they holding the releasing of the review back until after the federal election? In which case if they miraculously won, they would have a mandate to clobber us once more with their bullshit Barnaby Joyce Catholicism?

Or are they holding the release back because they know the federal election is all but lost and they're simply trying to limit the electoral blood coming for them?

Personally I think it's a bit of both. It thus amazes me that some in the gov still think they're in the running to win this soon to be federal election :s

This is the only thing put out so far by Ruddock's religious freedom inquiry that has been released to the gov:

Today, the Expert Panel conducting the Religious Freedom Review provided its Report on freedom of religion in Australia.

This Report is the culmination of a nationwide consultation process, including a public submission process and face-to-face meetings in every State and Territory.

The Report reflects the input that the Panel received throughout the life of this process, research undertaken and the individual expertise of the Panel members. The Panel would like to thank the thousands of Australians who took the opportunity to have their say on this important issue.

Now that the Report has been delivered to the Prime Minister, the work of the Panel has been completed.

The Panel cannot discuss details of the Report at this time. Its release, and any possible Government response, are matters for the Prime Minister. Department of the Prime Minister and Cabinet
I must comment here that the submissions included those of the paedophile Catholic church, amongst other well paid up religious bodies that pay no tax. Also that the review was headed by the bloke who implemented the John Howard legislative ban on gay marriage in 2004.

The review was begged for by the Religious Catholic RWNJ's in the federal parliament after the parliament voted down every one of their bullshit wish list against us on the very same day we won marriage equality.

All I can say darlings is to vote this putrid LGBT hating gov of Neanderthals out at this soon to be federal  election. This is the most vile gay hating gov I've ever experienced in my lifetime, including in New Zealand and 1985 on since coming to Australia. Made up of career politicians bought up in the Catholic church to hate us. FFS look at what Abbott et all has thrown against us in very recent years along with his mates.

Many of this gov won't even admit to climate change. Or that gay conversion therapy is wrong.

I've not voted conservative all my life I must admit. But if any LGBT person in Australia who may read this who intends to vote for this gov at the election, I would simply ask that you take a look at the very real issues that are affecting you under this present gov.

For me it was, well of course Abbott, but in recent times just as much hypocrite Turnbull. How this man can look any LGBT person in the eye after what he did to us in his term of gov is beyond the pale.

This is the most repulsive, hateful gov I've ever had the misfortune to live under in the 56 years of my life, and that includes Reagan when I was there in the early 1980's in the US. He was a deluded architect of "trickle down" that has fucked up western society across the world since then. But he's got nothing against the casual, callous hatred this gov has for human rights and for it's own people; especially LGBT human rights.

History will judge this dark period of Australia harshly. Future generations will ask how the fuck this all happened; offshore Australian gulags with refugees killing themselves out of despair. The MSM complicit, spouting fear and loathing across the free airwaves.

I'm already asking it after my father fought in north Africa and Europe against this sort of thing.

I could go on but I must stop here. I don't want to have nightmares tonight :)
