We're on the public housing list but fuck knows when anything will come up, probably years and years. Meanwhile we have little choice but to try to get by on Centrelink payments. We manage but sometimes it gets a bit stressful. Not sure what went wrong this fortnight but this is our 5th day without a cent between us, we get paid tomorrow. Everything's paid but we're just about out of food.
As is said in the video, it's the rent that's the problem. We pay over half of what we get to the landlord.
