To the 1% - pay your fuckin tax

Ok, you got us. Played us for mugs for years. Well now maybe the party's soon gonna be over for you lot. Enough of the scheming and all. Just cough up and pay your fuckin tax. Do you not ride on our roads? Educate your kids in our schools? Use our hospitals and services? Well cough up assholes. I didn't pay tax through the nose for thirty years to give you pricks a free ride.

GetUp has put together a petition on this, recommending the implementation of "the
Buffett" rule. No, it's not a restaurant, it's a rule designed by some bloke in the US called Mr Buffett, saying that the well off shouldn't be able to rort the system to the point of paying no tax at all. There has to be a floor put under it, a minimum amount where the rorting stops and they have to pay tax or go to fuckin jail like the rest of us.

The Buffett Rule says: Right, enough of all of this loophole rubbish, the wealthiest 1% of income earners have to pay at least 35% in income tax — based around the rate paid by many Australian workers. This new tax Rule could raise nearly $2.5 billion per year – more than the Abbott Government's cuts to Newstart benefits and the age pension combined.
