Obama is actually going to do just a little bit about the US gun maniacs over there.

This guy reckons that taking away guns from people who suffer mental illness will cause them to suicide. Seriously. The "logic" goes, they won't seek help for their depression for fear they will lose their guns, so they'll get more depressed without treatment, ultimately to the point of topping themselves. Um, no word if their suicide will be via the gun they were afraid to lose in the first place :s
Well what a load of bullshit. As someone who suffers from severe depression and the rest, if I was an American living in America and able to buy a gun during those times past when even with treatment I was wanting to die, then I'd be dead now.
Since the Howard gun buy back scheme in Australia, suicide rates have fallen.
