"We will, even when they say we can't" - marriage equality video, Australia

A small group of Sydney film makers has put together a little video advocating marriage equality for Australia. Frustrated with the unrepresentative and incompetent Canberra swill, they chose to make something uplifting instead of more depressing stuff about how it hasn't happened here yet.

It works well, showing the love between two people and how real it is. The elephant in the room is that Canberra is still; saying we can't.
Our politicians have shown us time and time again that they are incapable of bringing change, so we must take responsibility for it ourselves. Marriage equality will only be achieved through each and every one of us doing something to further the cause. Grassroots films like this and other similar works of art help raise our collective consciousness and keep the issue at the forefront of our thoughts, which is especially important at the times it dwindles as a hot topic in the media.
