While many huge corporations pay no tax. This is so fucked up.
Out of 33 OECD countries, Australia is the second worst, beaten only in that sad statistic by South Korea at 50%. Thirty six percent of Australian pensioners are right now living below the poverty line.
I would have to say David and I are among them. The 55% of our money on rent is the worst thing, and we just can't get any relief from it. Unless of course we move right out of Sydney to some country place with no services; no HIV doctors, no psychologists, and a local chemist to get your meds sent to where everyone in town will find out you're HIV+. Either that or spend 2 hours each way on a train to see our current doctors and all.
Besides that, what about Sydney then? Who says only well off people should live here? This is fuckin Australia FFS.
