The first results are in and it's looking good so far. My CD4 count has gone up about 100 to 740, and the viral load has halved to about 2,000. Looking good after the first month. So it's full steam ahead with the current tablets. Thank fuck for that. Really pleased as it would've been horrible to have to go through another month getting used to different tablets. In fact today I took them and didn't feel any nausea at all. I expect that in a while the viral load will become undetectable; or so low that current tests can't detect it. I go back in 2 months now for another blood test to see how it's going.
In other doctor news, he examined my back and gave me Panadeine forte for it. Said if it didn't settle down I may need to get it x-rayed. Wanted to give me anti-inflammatorys but as I'm allergic to them I can't have them.
I explained what happened with the Efexor/happy pills; that I tried dropping 75mg and gave up on the first day after my head went bananas. He informed me that there's a smaller tablet of only 37.5mg and that I should try dropping by only that much. Went across to the chemist and got the Panadeine forte and the smaller Efexor pills. Explained to the pharmacist there that I was back again as I tried going down 75mg and utterly failed. He said that 37.5 was the appropriate amount to come down on. Fuck, I wish he'd tell my doctor that. I suppose doctors can't know everything, especially when they specialise in HIV treatment.
