Rainbow protest - Putin in Amsterdam

I know it's right across the other side of the world from here, but how funny is this! The captain of Russian homophobes, President Vladimir Putin, is visiting Amsterdam shortly. He will be accosted with the flag of gay "propaganda" itself, with plans to have it flying during his visit. I imagine the Russian news media will be frantic to censor the rainbow images, for fear of falling fowl of the propaganda laws that already exist in some cities.

Fly it proudly darlings over there, right in his fuckin face. Almost wish I was in Amsterdam for that. And a protest is planned as well. I'd go to that one in a heart beat.  

Russian President Vladimir Putin is reportedly in for a surprise when he visits Amsterdam next month.

As Pink News and Carbonated.tv are both reporting, the capital city of the Netherlands will fly the rainbow flag when Putin arrives on April 8 in protest of Russia's proposed "gay propaganda" legislation.

“The [Amsterdam] College wishes to express its concern with the rainbow flag and the seven districts will ask to do the same,” a spokesperson for the city’s council is quoted by Carbonated as saying. ”Amsterdam is committed to an open and tolerant city where everyone can be who he is. The flag stands for diversity and gay acceptance.” more
