Battle of the fleas

Well it's happened. Looks like we didn't get to the fleas in my daughter's old room before the (then) three cats in the house (namely Felix) had started spreading them everywhere. Wished my daughter could have just treated Felix and her room and that would've been it. Either she didn't want us to know that her room had fleas out of embarrassment, she simply couldn't be bothered, or she was vindictive and knew what was going to happen if she said nothing. Given the fact that she was washing everything just before she left (using the washing powder that I bought I might add), the mood she was in at the time and how I know her as her father, my guess is that she did it on purpose. We've had fleas go through the house before and she knows how hard they are to get rid of out of an old place like this. It would have been part of leaving her room a pigsty, she's left fleas as well.

So anyway bombing her room turned out not enough. Slowly the eggs dropped from Felix, onto Natasha and Kiera and around the rest of the house. After she left they hatched and we started noticing fleas in other parts of the house as well. So now we're not just dealing with one room where they came from, but the whole bloody house. They're even in the bathroom FFS. The kitchen floor as well. How the hell did they get there? The hallway. Our bedroom (as Felix liked going in there with Natasha and sleeping with her on our bed) and the sunroom joined to it. And the loungeroom (which is why David sprayed last night). Presently I'm bombing our room and sunroom, and will do the loungeroom tonight when we go to bed.

Daughter probably thinks how clever she was. Such disrespect for her own father..... In any case, I will be asking her to pay a portion of the expenses in getting rid of them. Yesterday I had to put about $50 worth of stuff on the credit card for it. Like I said these flea bombs and sprays aren't cheap. We'll need more as well as the surface spray it says to use in conjunction with the bomb.
