"Gay leave"

Happy Mardi Gras to all!

Although it's terrible weather here in Sydney. We had a front move through day before yesterday and it's been raining ever since. This morning it's not pouring down but cold and showers. The sky is a dark grey cloud colour. Dunno if it's gonna clear up at all for tonight. 

David usually works Sunday (tomorrow) but he got it off. He asked to as it'll be hard to sleep where he lives with parties going on all night around the place. They weren't sure what sort of leave to use for the day off; annual leave or sick leave. His boss jokingly called it "gay leave".

We may brave the weather and walk down the street and take a look. No idea if we'll be able to see anything though. Maybe we could take a couple of milk crates to stand on. 

Daughter is going out with friends to the parade. Think they're not going to bother trying to see anything but just going to have a night out with all the people everywhere.

Tourists are everywhere.
