Reduce tax avoidance by taxing discretionary trusts (excepting farmers) the same as corporations, raising $3.6 billion
Implement a Millionaires Tax on incomes over $1 million, raising $637 million
Apply a public insurance levy on the Big Four Banks that are 'too big to fail', raising $16.8 billion

Greens find $88billion in savings - better than Sloppy Joe's
Of course big business won't like their plan. All that clean energy undercutting Rineheart's coal bazillions. I can almost hear her screaming now at the very suggestion, all the way from Queensland. In any case, these are the savings the Greens have found instead of clobbering the poor. You can sign a petition asking the senate to call on the Treasurer to stop the free ride for the big end of town here.
