Anti-abortionist Troy Newman booted out of Australia by the courts :)

What an arrogant prick he was. After having his visa cancelled en route to Australia and chucked off the plane he was getting here on, he decided that apparently he was more important than Australian laws and anything the gov had decided. He continued travelling here in the full knowledge that he didn't have a valid visa to enter the country.

Seriously, WTF was he thinking? Nobody can come here without the appropriate visa and expect the Border Farce Keystone Cops to just wave him on into the country. Other than being completely stupid, or deluded in his own self importance, the only other thing I can think of is that he was simply an incredibly arrogant Yank who as usual didn't give a fuck about the laws in another country; he being so exceptionally American and all you know.

Poor dear, he doesn't know much about the gov down here at all. I think he's lucky immigration minister Dutton didn't lock him up in a detention centre whilst his court appeal was being heard. I hope they hassled him at the airport heaps too, searched all his luggage and stuff. The Border Farce love that shit. Makes them feel important.

Anyway the results of the court appeal are in, and it seems the magistrate sort of chucked the proverbial book at him, probably whilst holding back fits of laughter at such an absurd legal appeal. He's also been slogged with the Australian gov's court costs to state their case in court. The magistrate blamed Newman for it all.
Newman lost his bid in the high court to stop his deportation from Australia, after he arrived in the country without a valid visa.

Newman will also have to pay the commonwealth’s legal costs.

In making his decision in the high court in Melbourne on Friday, Justice Geoffrey Nettle highlighted Newman’s “consummate disregard” for Australian laws, by travelling to Australia with knowledge his visa had been cancelled.

“He does not come to this court with clean hands,” Nettle said.

The high court justice noted a recording Newman took of him being stopped at Denver airport because he did not have a valid visa as an evidence the campaigner knew his visa had been denied.

Airline workers had urged him to contact the Australian embassy before travelling on, Nettle said.

Despite disagreeing with the visa cancellation, Newman had “no right to treat it as nought”, Nettle said.

He was “determinately and avidly” intent on travelling to Australia, the justice said.

“He is the author of his own misfortune and predicament.” more

Here's the video again where he was chucked off the plane on the way here. Incredibly the video was posted by Newman himself. What a fuckwit. What arrogance.
