Flea report

What an effort it's been, but we're finally getting on top of them. Most of the house has been bombed with flea bombs, and all of it vacuumed one end to the other and surface spray lightly sprayed regularly. Washed every rug in the place on a heavy wash cycle and left them out in the hot sun drying as well. All the bedding washed.

The two cats Natasha and Kiera, who hung around Felix a lot, have been slowly getting de-flea-d. The 3 month protection thing on the back of the neck, new flea collars, and I even had some pills left over from when Hannah died which I never got a chance to use on her as she was so sick. They were expensive at about $70 or so for 12 I think, but they work really well. They're mainly used on dogs but you just read the label and give a portion of the pill according to their weight. It somehow kills every flea alive on the cat for 24 hours.

They're still having dying ones drop off them after all that. Kiera has started sleeping on our bed again. I guess that's OK with all that treatment of the fleas. Actually worked out very well last night as I got sick in the night with the runs and a huge vomit, and came back to bed breathing heavily after the spew. She came along, plonked herself next to my stomach, and started purring loudly. Like a motor boat. As my stomach was sore it seemed to help this purring vibration.

So far it's cost well over $100 for this flea eradication.
