Western Sydney and bulk billing - Abbott's nightmare

GetUp has been hard at work putting together a fascinating interactive map, where you can look at anywhere in Australia and see the levels of bulk billing in each electorate. I was going to embed it here but the email GetUp sent the embed code didn't come through. In any case, you can play around with the interactive map here.

So I started stuffing around with it myself. Zoomed into Sydney. And there it was. 

Western Sydney has the the highest levels of bulk billing in Sydney. Howard's Battlerville. Western Sydney has a few seats that can change the result of a federal election, indeed as Kim Beazely found out when he went up against Howard; he got the majority of votes but Labor lost it in a few western Sydney seats.

These are the same seats that the asylum policy has been targeted too; western Sydney racists. Both parties are shit scared of losing it in western Sydney.

So then, what are western Sydney battlers going to think of having to pay to see the doctor?

And to those in western Sydney who voted for Abbott because he would "stop the boats", how's that working out for you now?
