Another illness and yet another pill - cholesterol catastrophes

So I went and saw my HIV GP this morning. The good cholesterol levels are excellent, but the bad cholesterol levels are very bad. Due to my age and the fact that David and I have a pretty good diet, he's putting me on a pill to control that. Must be hereditary.

I sort of get the feeling I've passed my used by date :s  This brings it up to 11 pills in the mornings. Far out. Plus another HIV pill at night.

Still sorting out the gout thing. Showed him my ankles which are very swollen. Is fine when I get up in the mornings but as soon as I walk somewhere or stand for any length of time they swell up. No pain which is weird, although quite uncomfortable.

Had more blood taken for that, testing for the something or other that indicates gout. Have to go back in 2 days to see him for those results and the pills for that will likely be put up. *sheesh*  Does that mean another pill or just a bigger pill of the same?

Cripes, I wonder how much I'd have not had to spend on the doctor and blood tests had Abbott gone through with his $7 GP visits and $7 a pop each blood test?

On the plus side, we now have only 5 prescriptions to go before they reach 60 scripts for the calendar year, after which they're free.
