Abbott will bring back ABCC

The Australian Building and Construction Commission was bought in under the Howard gov as an extreme over-reaction to union unrest on building sites. It had draconian powers that were in no way coherent with a democracy, comparable to the laws that the rest of Australians worked under, or addressed the issue of about 1 construction worker a week dying on the job in Australia.

Disbanded under Labor, Abbott will bring back the ABCC.

This little video tells the story of Ark Tribe, who under the ABCC laws was taken to court for not divulging what was said in a union meeting, with workers concerned about real safety issues on the site.
