Believe it or not, this is what is being advised to gormless Abbott by corporate advisers. How much these corporate advisors get to say the bleeding obvious I don't know. Or what qualifications are needed to come out with such a gem of information to tell the PM I dunno. But certainly this is another occasion when I proclaim in astonishment ....... No shit Sherlock!
Take superannuation for example.....
Even the more politically unplatable areas were up for review in the upcoming tax white paper. He said despite millions of shareholders and self managed super funds relying on franking credits, the dividend imputation system was "out step with the rest of the world" and skewed local investment decisions.Abbott provide tax cuts to low and middle income people? Good luck with that advice mate. Abbott has made it clear he hates the poor. It's all our fault you see. We must be punished for letting ourselves become poor. Driven out of our residences to fend on the streets (well they don't have cars to sleep in). See, that's what happens to poor people, so don't get poor and you'll be part of Team Abbott. *pfffft*
"There's a question of whether it skews investment in Australia - rather than invest further in capital, companies are incentivised to pay out franked dividends," he said. "Super funds in particular make investment decisions based on whether they can attract franked dividends."
Mr Williams also suggested the government might want to look at the concessionary rate of CGT in order to raise more money to fund tax cuts for low- and middle-income Australians. Scrapping negative gearing would be harder to achieve, as the government could not single out property - where the majority of deductions are claimed - and would have to apply the change more broadly. I actually think that's part of Abbott's weirded out religiosity. Hence, I believe it's against his religion to help the poor. And don't even think about it if you're a poor refugee.
