I dunno why whenever some country in the world is going through a civil war, that some in the west think it's our business to go in there and fight for their freedom (assuming we're still free in this surveillance state). Yeah fine, provide humanitarian aid and the like if it's needed, but getting involved in a complicated civil war? The victory is never respected by the population if it's won by a foreign power. How legit would it be for another country to use superior firepower to win said war? The victory is the foreign country's victory, not the people's.
Anyway from here it's like, Oh fuck it's a civil war right on the other side of the world. What's it got to do with us then? It goes without saying that I'm finding the usual screaming hyperventilating news about it all pretty bloody boring. This animated Taiwanese news is a much more relaxed way to learn about what's actually going on there :)
