This is Paul Bastion, the National Secretary of the Australian Manufacturing Workers Union, speaking with passion to AMWU delegates. Recently the AMWU has had delegate forums around the country, where this video was shot at. May I say they are very much fighting words to Abbott and his mob. I agree with him completely.
Unions in Australia are not known for laying down and dieing. If Abbott thinks he can do over the unions then he's underestimated their resolve and intelligence. In fact Abbott may very well in the long run strengthen the union movement as more people join to stand up for their pay and conditions and realise, once again, the intentions of a Lieberal gov.
Well Tone, you wanted a war, looks like you've well and truly got one now.
