I'm an Abbott baddie

This is a nutty preacher bloke in the US, Fischer his name is. I watch his clips now and then on the Right Wing Watch site just for a laugh. I mean in this video he asserts that gov's should follow his Christian world view/Bible interpretation/bullshit when making decisions. That's bad enough for freedom of religion itself (what if you're not in agreement religiously with Fischer's Christian world view/Bible interpretation/bullshit when making decision in office? Do you adhere to them even if it's disenfranchising most of the population? Just utterly laughable.

This particular video was of interest however for another reason. When watching it I couldn't help but think of the caring religious people who are vehemently opposed to Abbott. A big point in this video is when he says that it's the responsibility of an elected official to "Criticise what is evil and he is to praise what is good".

Well we all know who the goodies and baddies are with Abbott. Myself, a mere minion on a barely survivable DSP pension, has copped that criticism of late. Apparently I'm a dastardly lazy assed pensioner bludger ripping off the system. Not only that, I'm a fuckin hypochondriac who see's the doctor too much and is now going to be blamed for wrecking it for everyone as the gov imposes a mandatory $5 charge to see a doctor.

Don't forget that single poll that came out the other day with a loaded question (would you support Medicare being means tested to see the doctor?) that came out at all of 52% in favour of that. Evidently a small single loaded question poll result like that is now enough to justify national public policy. Well that's the impression I get from the media. So what about gay marriage then?

In short, I'm one of Abbott's baddies. I am criticised. Rich corporates on the gov teat are held up as examples. They are praised. Those in need are bad. Those who're rich are good. What a perversion.

All thanks to religion.
