Times are gone when we could rely on corporate media to give us far and balanced reporting across a wide range of issues. Now it's all about making money and entertainment.
The similarities between Australia's latest corporate media fiasco (the non-reporting of the march in march protests) and what's going on in the US, are striking. Here Abby Martin uses the example of the missing plane, and how other more important stories weren't covered because all the media feed hoopla was bringing in the cash.
Same thing has been happening here as that with that plane. And it's bullshit. Somebody who's wearing a t-shirt saying "Democracy is Dead" doesn't mean he's a bloody terrorist. And while we sit here in Oz watching the same bullshit being feed through the corporate media empires about a plane, things like the march in march are ignored. I guess they were making money out of it here too.
