NSW private schools on notice

Somewhat of a victory for the LGBT and other students who currently attend private schools and are gay, transgender, disabled, a single parent, or well simply the wrong sex. In the New South Wales parliament today, the Coalition education minister promised to investigate cases of discrimination through the Board of Studies.
New South Wales families with kids now have an assurance: The Board of Studies will not tolerate discrimination against LGBTI students in private schools.

In response to calls from the Independent Sydney MP Alex Greenwich to ensure a non-discrimination policy stands in private schools, Education Minister Adrian Piccoli said in NSW Parliament’s Question Time today that complaints by LGBTI and other vulnerable students will be investigated.
Any school not providing a safe and inclusive education environment for all students could potentially be deregistered, he added. more
It's a step in the right direction. Surely soon the law must be changed in NSW that exempts religious institutions from the discrimination laws that the rest of Australia must live under. Why should religion be used as an excuse to discriminate? The law where these exemptions come from was made way the fuck back in 1977 FFS!

Of course arch enemy Fred Nile, the Christian, is dead against any state interference in private schools. He also personalizes the argument by releasing this:

It's shows that they have no argument when they attack the person and not the legislation.
