Supermarket giant Coles has been targeted and under pressure for months from the Transport Workers Union over the extreme pressure Coles put drivers under. Impossible delivery times that put all road users in danger, and encourage them to take drugs to stay awake (come on we all know it goes on).
Now the TWU, as well as dealing with an intransigent Coles that denies any wrong doing (apparently the TWU is just making it all up) they now have the Abbott gov siding with Coles, in that the gov is going to scrap the Road Safety Tribunal that was set up to protect their pay and conditions.
Hmmmm ... Look out for a few more drugged up speeding truckies on our roads.
