Like I said, he's got an excellent resume and everyone who's known him in nursing has nothing but praise for his professionalism and caring. Makes it doubly worse what his last job did to him, fucking a nurse off of such talent and experience over HIV discrimination. No wonder he couldn't get his head around why they were doing it. He's a very good nurse and in no way deserved that treatment.
Anyway, the other first interview this week is much closer than that scummy north shore job anyway. Used to take him an hour and a half just to get there on public transport as it was way over the bridge. This one is nearby but it's still a hassle to get to (bus-train-bus) but looks to be only an hour travel. Much better. At least it's on this side of the bridge FFS.
The second one that he's going to next week however is extremely close. About a ten minute bus ride each way. I said to take that one, but as they're both part time to start with he will likely take both and see which one is the best. The second one also said they'd match whatever the other one's paying.
It makes me even more angry now what his last job did. They were absolute fuckin assholes to him. Well their bloody loss by the looks. He also has an appt with the lawyer who's dealing with the case at ACON next week for an update of where the discrimination suing the fuck out of them is going.
Fuck, finally things are starting to look up. What a horror year it's been for both of us.
