No, this isn't sponsored in any way. Just simple advice. The same advice that you would tell a friend to save money. The same advice in fact that a social worker gave us to save money. Stop shopping at Woolworths or Coles (the monopoly rip off merchants) and shop at Aldi.
We've pretty much completely gone to Aldi now. I was a bit discouraged when they first opened the other year locally around here as the checkout lines were chocked with people buying massive trolley loads. Waiting for ages with just one bag of stuff. But I've noticed lately they've fixed that somehow. Organised the checkouts better somehow it seems..
Anyway the Aldi supermarket is always packed I've noticed. Sometimes I still go into Coles if Aldi doesn't have what we want. But honestly I can't believe the prices in there. I reckon about a third more on average. And there's hardly anyone in the place.
Consumers are happily turning to the discount grocery store Aldi, and staying there.
Australians have embraced German discount supermarket chain Aldi since it opened in 2001, but have been left wanting more discount grocery outlets to set up shop locally, research reveals.
A survey by consumer research group Canstar Blue Customer Satisfaction Ratings showed that 85 per cent of respondents agreed that the presence of Aldi was good for Australian shoppers.
But it also revealed that 74 per cent of people said they would like to see another supermarket chain like Aldi open in Australia soon. The New Daily
