Gay Texas cop tells his story - thought "cops can't be gay"

This is just a wonderful beautiful story. A guy became a cop in Texas and thought cops couldn't be gay. He tells how his life slowly degraded, pretty much I think due to his not living authentically as to who he really was. After 15 years in the very back of the closet he did the big Facebook coming out to all and his life changed for the better. It's never too late to come out.

I myself have never felt the need to broadcast to all what my sexuality everywhere. Sexuality is fluid and mixed, as undefinable as individual people. I never felt the need to make some big announcement, apart from to individuals that I had met someone of the same sex who made me happy. Coming out too is as individual as each person. There's no right or wrong way.

I really liked his attitude that if others couldn't accept him it was their dilemma and not his. My thinking totally :)

I loved the way he spoke honestly. That comes naturally when you live truly as who you are.
