Reports Turnbull will appear on Q&A - mutiny!

The ABC is still promoting Turnbull to appear on Monday's Questions and Answer show, and now there are reports that Turnbull will defy Abbott's boycott and appear on the show.

Oh the political drama! This is directly against Abbott's North Korea type orders! Mutiny on the decks darlings! Front bench in turmoil. Leader publicly disobeyed! Open rebellion in the highest ranks!

What will Abbott do? Shirtfront Turnbull? Punch a wall right next to his head? Oh this is just delicious!
MALCOLM Turnbull is testing Tony Abbott’s authority and is preparing to appear on ABC’s boycotted program on Monday.

The Communications Minister, who appears to be ditching political solidarity in favour of his legacy, will appear on the program on the basis that the Prime Minister has not told him personally he cannot appear.

It comes as Mr Turnbull delivered a speech to the Sydney Institute on Tuesday night warning of the dangers of over emphasising the threat of ISIS.

Mr Abbott, a former reporter who writes some of his own speeches, uses dramatic language to describe ISIS and its threat to the world.

It is understood Mr Abbott is now looking for a circuit breaker between his office and the ABC, so it does not appear that Mr Turnbull has defied him when he appears on the show.

Mr Abbott ordered Agriculture Minister Barnaby Joyce to pull out of the program last week during a late-night, animated conversation.

Mr Joyce did not respond to questions yesterday, but some senior MPs have told The Courier-Mail he would be unhappy if Mr Turnbull appeared while he had to pull out at a time he wanted to spruik his agricultural white paper. more
