NRA - paranoid

Man, this shit is really out there.

The US National Rifle Association has published on the site of it's lobbying arm, the NRA-ILA, a very long list of all the organisations that are it's enemies. Here's the link. It's a very long list and I'm not going to put it all here, but below I'll put the odd one or two that seem particularly bizarre reading from here in Sydney.

The very size of the list suggest to me the NRA is a touch paranoid. Also, instead of raising decent arguments as to why citizens should be allowed to have a rifle that fires 1,200 rounds a minute, they're trying to discredit the people that might be saying it. Or to put it bluntly, they're arguing the person not the subject. 

An ad hominem argument occurs when one attacks the person making an argument rather than the argument itself. source

So they can't even raise a good argument.
