Racist bigot lights Olympic flame

What else would you expect out of a socially backwards country like Russia? Bigotry of course. You'd think that someone who was going to light the Olympic flame would have been looked into and deemed squeaky clean, but no not in homophobic bigoted Russia. Over there bigotry is fine.

Here's the picture of the flame being lit by former figure skater Irina Rodnina:

Here's a picture she tweeted last year of the Obamas:

Lovely. She's been questioned about it and thinks it was fine. Like what's the problem? Surely a true representation of the bigotry that exists in Russia, when someone can tweet a racist picture and say there was nothing wrong with it to the worlds media. Remember, this is the person who lit the Olympic flame FFS
Former Russian figure skater Irina Rodnina was given the honor of lighting the Olympic flame at Sochi 2014′s Opening Ceremony on Friday, but she has started receiving attention for a racist photograph she tweeted last September.

Rodnina tweeted a doctored photo of President Barack Obama and his wife. When asked about it at the time, she said there was nothing wrong with the photo and that it was sent to her by American friends. more
