Unions making a US comeback?

Austraia's minimum wage is currently $16 an hour, and goes up yearly I think through the Fair Work commission, after receiving submissions from employers and unions. Last years rise was 2.6%, bringing it up to the $16 an hour.

It is understandable then when Australians look across the Pacific and see what the minimum wage is in the US, at a pathetic slavery rate of about $7 an hour. However there's a new form of organised labour making headway over there:
