This was from a year ago before Star Trek Beyond was released so at that stage there was still no gays on the Enterprise.
However in the original series there was an episode with gays called Blood and Fire. Unfortunately it never made it to the 1960's TV screen due to opposition from paranoid bosses of Star Trek. Quite an interesting story.
It finally made it to the screen with a fan made double episode of Star Trek, who re-wrote the script according to it's original form. The double episode of Blood and Fire is below :)
