Sorting out David's move

We're going pretty slow on the move in of David. He's not got much stuff but we both seem to have a bit of a motivation problem. I'm doing the same old thing of feeling overwhelmed by it all and getting fuck all done, and he's slowly packing up breakables. I really hate moving as it can be so stressful, but going at a slow pace like this seems OK.

Most of his stuff will go in my room I think, being as it's a huge old house with massive great bedrooms. Have cleared away all the junk at the end of the room giving him plenty of space for his bits and pieces. The room is so big I didn't know what to do with all the extra space and it just got filled up with various things that I didn't know where else to put. Have mostly cleaned out half of the wardrobes but still have the things stacked on the bottom to sort through.

David came up with a very good idea with his two cats: put them in my room to start off with, with their litter and food in the little sun-room at the front. They can get used to that and sleeping with us before opening the whole house for them to explore. Dunno what they're going to think of the daughters cat, he's only one and behaves like a big kitten. Very curious, think he'll be very interested in two female cats for company.

Will be glad when it's all finished and he's here. Been about 7 months now since we met, think that's a pretty good amount of time before moving in. It was a workable situation living apart but sometimes the travelling got a bit much.
