Cori Bernardi has resigned from the Lieberal party. Hooray!
Following through with his threat, today Bernardi announced to the senate that he has officially resigned from the Lieberals after being a member for all his adult life.
What's really interesting though is the reasons he gives; self serving politicians unrepresentative and out of touch of what the electorate wants. He's describing himself, even though he doesn't realise it!So he now heads to the senate cross benches, where the gov will now need 10 votes out of the 12 senate cross benchers to pass legislation.
