Juno's 1st Jupiter orbit - video

Jupiter's south pole as sent from Juno (*click to enlarge)

As Spock would say, "fascinating"...

The spacecraft Juno has orbited Jupiter for the first time, sending back images and sound.

For the non Star Trek types, Jupiter is our solar system's giant, 2.5 times bigger than all the other planets combined, or the equivalent mass of 318 earths. It's got a huge atmosphere, with the big red spot being a raging storm of over 300yrs. It's gravity is 2.5 times more than Earth's.

Juno is the bestest everest spaceship from earth to go there and study it.
