Here we have a perfect example of US conservative christianity becoming part of the US political process. Palin says right out that all the political answers are already laid out in the bible.
Or you could say that she wants politicians to behave in a christian way (whatever that is). To resist non-christians as not being part of the US gov. Atheists and Muslims are impure.
Honestly, we've had the Catholic run Abbott gov coming out with some crazy quotes, but none of them went as far as this.
Personally I think what's going on in the US right now is very dangerous. Combine these crazy christian Trump-ets with the idea of US exceptionalism, and you have a very volatile mix of god and politics.
