Turnbull gov still resists Paris climate agreement - cites economy

Paris, by all accounts, has signaled the end is nigh for fossil fuels. However Julie Bishop, deputy Lieberal, has come out from Paris putting the so called "economy" before the planet.
Ms Bishop admits boosting efforts is going to be difficult for Australia and warns the government won't be jeopardising the economy.

"Of course if we're being ambitious over time we will need to work even harder," she said.

"We have to get that balance right between environmental and economic outcomes." news, com.au
Honestly this is just shocking stupidity, still believing the climate change denialist logic that going to green energy will destroy the economy.

Nothing could be further from the truth. The renewables green economy is expanding like mad, ever increasing employment in all areas green. The gov should be investing in this new economy to create jobs. There's going to be a lot of new work to do to switch from fossil fuels to renewables in the next decades. Imagine the opportunities for everyone.
