Abbott's first fuck up

It's not even been his swearing in as prime minister and Abbott is in up to his eyeballs in people being pissed off that he is now our unrepresentative swill.

Even more unrepresentative than that two faced Kevin Rudd, who espoused Christianity but saw fit to go against international law with his asylum seeker policy; that policy being that anyone who floated to our shores in desperate boats and circumstances would never be settled in Australia, but New Guinea, including those who were fleeing persecution for being gay. New Guinea hates gays and has some of the most anti-gay laws in the world.

But not to worry darlings, it's now the Abbott freak show that rules the roost. Or should I say the Abbott clown? In any vase he's fucked up thus core policy of his (or is it a non-core policy?) before he's even started.

With no consultation with Indonesia (which BTW is Australia's closest neighbour and biggest Muslim country in the world) and Abbott knowing for some time that he was in all likelihood going to be PM, Abbott chose to fuck off our nearest neighbour by declaring an unworkable policy. It is a policy that Indonesia has now rejected as Abbott is due to be sworn in.
Tony Abbott faces fresh obstacles from Jakarta on his asylum-seeker policies after Indonesia's foreign minister appeared to reject Coalition plans to pay bounties for information that helps disrupt people-smuggling.

Foreign Minister Marty Natalegawa has been reported as delivering a full-throated attack on the Coalition's asylum-seeker policy ahead of a planned visit to Jakarta by Prime Minister-elect Mr Abbott.

The Jakarta Post reported on Thursday that Dr Natalegawa had said Jakarta would reject plans to pay millions of dollars in bounties to Indonesian villagers for information on people-smuggling rackets.

"We will have a discussion with Abbott prior to the APEC Summit in October. We will reject his policy on asylum seekers and any other policy that harms the spirit of partnership," Dr Natalegawa said.

Fairfax Media has asked Dr Natalegawa's office to confirm the accuracy of the remarks and is awaiting a response.

He reportedly made the comments at a meeting of the Indonesian parliament's foreign affairs commission.

The sharpness of the remarks is particularly notable as they come ahead of a trip Mr Abbott is expected to make within days to visit Indonesia.

Dr Natalegawa also said: "Discussing Abbott's controversial plan on asylum seekers will be one of main agendas during the visit." Read more
There you go Tony, you're off to aq flying start of fuckedness. Congratulations. I can't remember any recent Australian PM that so pissed off our Indonesian friends. BTW, if you can't even sell this little bit of pilicy, how do you think Indonesia is gonna go with your policy of turning back the boats and towing them back to Indonesia.
