NALT is a term invented by that Dan Savage, referring to Christians who often come out with (in response to Christian bigotry) that "we're not all like that". He heard it so many times he started calling them NALTs. In this little video about it Savage lays it absolutely on the line for these Christians:
I've heard NALT many times myself before too, as I'm sure many gay people have. It's often the first thing a Christian will come out with. My response or feelings about that are always the same; well where is your voice in the media then, protesting about Christian bigots? Where? The silence is fuckin deafening.
