Turnbull officially off Mardi Gras invite list - Hooray!

Fantastic darlings! Our revolting gutless weak as piss puppet prime minister has been taken off the official invite list to the 2017 Mardi Gras. He can still attend if he wants, but he won't be officially invited in his dubious capacity as "prime minister".

Some may disagree, with the LGBT being all about inclusion and acceptance and all. But honestly it shows the level of anger and discontent among the LGBT towards this pathetic man. He is the only one stopping David and I getting married, and all other LGBT who want to do so. David and I have been together 4 years now and we love each other deeply. How dare this man stand in the way of official recognition of our love just because he can't stand up to the lunar right of his party.

How dare he turn up at our parade, born out of a protest march in 1978, to get a photo op. Then go on to deny us our human rights.

Fuck him. Don't come. We don't even want to look at your sorry ass. It would just be rubbing salt in the wounds.
The motion was put in response to the PM's position on holding a controversial plebiscite instead of a free vote to decide whether to allow LGBTI people the right to marry in Australia and that after the failure of the plebiscite in the senate this week there were "no plans" to act on marriage equality during the remaining term of the current parliament according to the PM.

The motion stated: “the Annual General Meeting of Sydney Gay and Lesbian Mardi Gras does not believe that a Prime Minister who denies us equality should be welcome as an official guest at our parade.”

“We ask the Board to act in accordance with this position and issue a public statement as it applies to the current Prime Minister Malcolm Turnbull and the 2017 Mardi Gras parade and does not invite him as an official guest to the parade,’’ it stated. SBS
