Yesterday the senate voted down the Abbott/Turnbull gov's plebiscite for marriage equality. What a great effort by the LGBT community and it's friends in accomplishing this. We should all feel very proud.
The way is now open to achieve marriage equality by a simple parliamentary free vote. The blow torch is now on Turnbull and his adherence to the lunar right wingnuts of his party. Will he continue to let Australia be held captive to these lunatics, or will he actually grow some balls and show some leadership?
