It was a most spectacular fresh spring day, and so I got on the first bus that came along that was going to Circular Quay (passing Hyde Park full of people relaxing and enjoying the day). Not far, and during the day there's not much traffic getting there. Circular Quay is a major transport hub, where trains, buses, and ferries all meet at the same place. Thought about getting on a ferry for a bit of a trip across the harbour, but I only had a light shirt on and the wind was a bit cool. Would've been bloody freezing out on the harbour.
It's a good place to just get out of the house and wander around. Buskers and tourists everywhere. Ferries going in and out of the docks. The atmosphere was wonderful. Bustling and busy, yet peaceful and relaxed. A clean fresh breeze softly blowing, but very warm in the sun. Everyone looked happy.
Took a picture from on the wharf of the bridge.
Then went upstairs onto the train platform. The opera house looked absolutely faaaabulous darlings! Have taken lots of pics of it before, but today for some reason it was more spectacular than usual. The sun was totally glinting off the roof bits.
So with the opera house looking like that, thought I might walk out towards the bridge and get some closer views of it.
After that I went and had a couple of beers at a pub there and off back home on the bus. A very good outing.
