National Broadband Network campaign

The neanderthals that make up the Abbott gov are having a hard time getting their head around the fact that Australians want the NBN that the Rudd gov promised them. Fibre to the home with speeds capable of 1Gbps. Abbott wants to make it fibre to the node and rely on Telstra's 100 year old copper network to get it to the home, saving a bit of money but vastly destroying speed. Pretty much making the thing old before it's even finished. With the future of television being online through cable, running that on a 100 year old copper network is just not going to do it. There's a campaign been afoot for a while now since Abbott was elected. Perhaps Turnbull can talk some fuckin sense into Abbott? Not holding my breath.
