More love from the religious.......

Meet Seddique Mateen, father of the Orlando shooter Omar Mateen. He is evidently sympathetic to Afghanistan and the religious conservative people there. Against Pakistan. I won't get into the details of it all as I'm certainly no expert. Suffice to say he appears very comfortable in army fatigues. 

He appears to be anti-gay. Well obviously really. Because god. He posted online soon after the shooting in a video, expressing surprise that his son had taken it upon himself to do what god was supposed to do. 

Seddique Mateen, speaking in Dari, concluded the video by expressing disbelief that his son took it upon himself to seek retribution against the LGBT community.

“God himself will punish those involved in homosexuality,” he said. “This is not for the servants” of God. Washington Post

Not exactly a friend of the LGBT. 

Neither was his son, which looks like he was a chip off the old block. His father states that he was angered by gays when he saw a couple of guys kissing in front of his family (shock horror!):

“We were in Downtown Miami, Bayside, people were playing music, and he saw two men kissing each other in front of his wife and kid and he got very angry. They were kissing each other and touching each other and he said, ‘Look at that. In front of my son they are doing that.’ And they we were in the men’s bathroom and men were kissing each other.’” Independent Journal   

One has to wonder why Omar Mateen felt so threatened by two men kissing in front of his family.....
