Depp's dog day afternoon - Heard pleads guilty over Pistol and Boo

Depp and Heard arrive at court
*Update: Heard got a good behaviour bond.

Pistol and Boo became the centre of worldwide attention last year when Amber Heard, wife of Johnny Depp, smuggled outlaw dogs Pistol and Boo into Australia when coming to visit her husband Depp.

Today Heard went to court over it, arriving with husband Johnny Depp at a Gold Coast court, and pleaded guilty to "falsifying quarantine documents".
Heard allegedly illegally brought Boo and Pistol on a private jet when she came to see Depp while he was filming the latest Pirates of the Caribbean movie on the Gold Coast last May.

She was to face two charges of illegal importation of an animal and one count of producing a false document, however the two biosecurity charges were dropped this morning.

Heard, who arrived with Depp at the Southport Magistrates Court in a black limousine, pleaded guilty to producing a false document.

When the couple arrived at court at 8:45am, a large media scrum of about 30 journalists and photographers, was awaiting.

Around them, a number of supporters were screaming out "Go Johnny, we love you".

Twelve witnesses are listed to give evidence, and there is speculation that Depp will be called on.

It is expected to be a lengthy plea hearing.

Heard's lawyer has tendered a USB with a video of her "expressing her remorse".

The judge retired to consider documents before the court, with the court adjourned until 11:00am ninemsn
